My daughter asked me if I could make this wall shelf. She saw it on Cozey, but at $800 she asked me how much it would cost me to make it. Realistically, if I use cabinet quality 3/4” oak plywood with solid oak vertical supports we’re looking at about $150 for wood and another $30-$50 for hardware. This project is an exercise in cutting accurate cross lap joints.

The challenge is in making this work as a flat-pack product. My daughter lives 900 miles away and we’re going to visit in a few months. This shelf and our luggage will need to fit into our Hyundai Tucson.

DIMENSIONS: 60” wide x 30” high x 10" deep

This is a work in progress. You’ll see how I use a design to then disassemble and create a materials list.
